Busy Little Bee

3 Aug

People, I’m so very busy and important. I remember when I used to sit around at home on the weekends and wonder why I didn’t have a life. Now I’m freaking tired all the time because of my busy social calendar. My popularity is exhausting to me. Who has time for a boyfriend when there’s so much stuff going on? Seriously, take a look at what August has in store for Michael Kors and me:

1st: Sascha’s, drinks at Ixia with Lola and Un-boyfriend
2nd: Work happy hour to welcome the guy that got the job over me
3rd: Oceanaire with Lola and Muffy
4th: Kick ass pool party
5th: Movies with Un-boyfriend
7th: Oceanaire with Un-boyfriend
8th: Movies with Muffy
9th: Volunteering at the American Visionary Arts Musuem
11th: Little Havana and Nasu Blanca with Muffy and Lola
12th: Outlets with Muffy, Mischa, and KK
14th: 4 minute dating at Chi-cha’s in DC with Muffy and Lola
18-19th: NYC with Muffy and Lola
21-23rd: Baby-sit niece and nephew while my sister’s in London (I hate her).
31st: Leave for vacation

Somewhere in there I have to make time to watch season 2 of Veronica Mars and flirt with Lit’l Smokey. So busy.

If you’re planning on stalking me, just look for the red carpet and all the cameras-the paparazzi always follows me around nowadays. Look for the hot girl with the smoking rack and the honey colored Michael Kors bag.

MK Update

18 Jul

Yesterday, Michael Kors received his first piece of mail: a get well card from Muffy. He’s currently staying at my mom’s house while he’s in recovery. I called him and read the card to him and it very much lifted his spirits. He says he’s feeling better, that there’s still a little bit of scarring, but that he’s ready to come home.

I’m picking him up tomorrow. I’ve missed him so much!

An American Tragedy

16 Jul

Something so horrible happened on Saturday. I’m still reeling from the events which I am about to write down. It was an accident, but one of the most devastating that I have ever witnessed in my life. My family and I were at Wegmans doing our grocery shopping and having some lunch. On our way out, I was carrying my niece, and my sister was responsible for carrying my things. She put my coke bottle into my Michael Kors handbag-without checking to see if the bottle cap had been screwed on all the way. Half the bottle of soda emptied into poor, defenseless Michael Kors before I realized what was happening.

I went to put some things into my bag and realized that the inside of the bag was wet. As I began cursing at my sister-in front of everyone at Wegmans-and cleaning out the bag with napkins, I realized that something horrible was happening: the soda was soaking through the leather. The tears started welling in my eyes as I turned and shouted, “It’s soaking through the fucking leather!” Everyone began grabbing napkins and dabbing at the mess. My heart sank when I looked at the napkins and realized that the beautiful color of the leather was bleeding onto the napkins. It was not a pretty sight to behold. I was so upset that I had to step outside and go for a little walk on my own.

I text messaged Muffy, and she called me right away. The pep talk made me feel much better. She reminded me that “Michael Kors is an American Icon, and is resilient,” and that he’d pull through. I pulled myself together, and went back inside.

Upon my return, we decided to take drastic measures: back to Nordstrom to see if they could help. Sadly, they did less than nothing. My mother-the doctor-had to intervene. When we got back to her house, she took matters into her hands. It was a late night for her as she treated Michael Kors hoping to minimize the scarring. The results were better than I expected, however, the soda marks are still visible. This week, he’ll be going through a 2nd round of treatments in hopes of minimizing the scars.

Please pray for the speedy recovery of my Michael Kors handbag. These are trying times for all of us.

God Help Me

6 Jul

Tomorrow I am headed off to a wedding. That’s right, I have friends that are getting married on 7-7-07. It hadn’t occurred to me that they were tools until this morning. Oh well, at least there will be an open bar. Additionally, I will be reunited with Notebook. I’m sure I’ll end up pining away for him at some point, and he’ll ignore me completely. Somehow, he suckered me into picking him up at the airport. How did that happen??

The frightening part is the potential cocktail flu that I’ll be nursing on Sunday. These people are not your average drinkers: they are young, they can still hold it like they did in college (since they just freaking graduated). Meanwhile, yours truly has just about zero tolerance for alcohol. I’m frightened. I envision being wrapped around the toilet on Sunday morning while management is banging on my door telling me to clear out or else they’ll call Security. Please don’t let this happen to me.

What will my Michael Kors bag and my cherry red ipod think of me? I’ll disgrace my whole “family”!!

New Addition!

5 Jul

It’s with great pleasure that my Michael Kors handbag an I announce a new addition to our budding family. Our cherry red ipod was purchased yesterday at approximately 4:12 PM. With a shiny red coat, and 4 GB, the cherry ipod came home and the downloading began.

My handbag and I are thinking of names and will let you know once an appropriate one is chosen.
