Making Bad Decisions for a Good Cause

25 Oct

You remember that time last year when I happened to find myself making out with a giant tool (Mr. Yellow Mustang) in his Tang colored Mustang?  Yeah, that was so “magical”.

It just so happens that today Lola, Muffy, and I are volunteering at the same event where we met last year.   My guess is that he will be there as he’s best friends with the event planner.  Lola has met him before, but Muffy has not.  For reasons unknown to me (thanks 3D for giving us some new phrases that we’ll all start using), I believe that Muffy and Lola will take any chance they get to mock me.  No, really, I can’t wait…

Oh!  And it’s kind of rainy here which will mean that my freshly cut hair will turn into a rat’s nest.  So sweet.  My hair has this way of looking like I’ve recently put my finger in an electrical socket-it’s a gift, really.  If I’m lucky, maybe there will be tons of drunk sailors there who have no interest in me what so ever.  That would be the best in the world.  No, really.

One of my all-time favorite texts was from you during this period, saying something like: “It is worse than I previously imagined. It seems the Mustang is more orange than yellow.” Shame is like an onion: multi-layered and sure to make you weep.

If you’re lucky, I might even take a picture of it for you… -CS

Fuck shame. I would be loud and proud of that. Yeah, I made out with a dude in an orange ‘Stang. So what? Jealous?? It’s the only way you’ll get out of the mocking alive.

But the shame!! I can’t quite keep it under control. It frightens me sometimes. -CS

    No regrets!

How about just one or two? -CS

I share your hair woes. I call shenanigans!

Why must life make us suffer with bad hair? WHY?? -CS

Catchphrases you can’t stop using are one of the innocuous things you can catch from a relationship. From an ex a while ago, I picked up a nose wrinkle, which I know he picked up from _his_ ex, but if I’m going to catch something from an ex’s ex, a nose wrinkle isn’t so bad.

Much better than catching the clap. -CS

I think you should also be using:

I really thought that I would be a positive influence on you…

Especially when they are making fun of you, said in a deadpan manner, followed up with maniacal laughter.

That’s a really good one. I think I will use that one. And possibly the one about just wanting to save the world. WTF? I swear. -CS
