More Bad Decisions

26 Apr

You all know that I make “smart” choices.  Please enjoy my 2 most recent ones:

  1. Agreeing to take my nephew to Day Out with Thomas the Tank Engine.  Imagine several hundred screaming kids all fired up about getting to ride Thomas.  Only it’s not really riding Thomas.  It’s riding Light Rail trains that are so freaking old that they’ve been retired that are being pulled by Thomas.  Weather was gorgeous.  The tantrums were not.
  2. Going out and boozing the night beforeDay Out with Thomas. I had a girl date with Georgia last night.  We went to a place that is named after a number and is near a park in Baltimore.  We had a good time.  We had cocktails.  Then we had wine.  Then there were shots.  Followed by more wine.  And then some Grand Marnier.  And one more shot.  Oh, and there was even more wine at some point.  I left at 2 in the morning.  I had to be up at 7:15.  It was ugly.  Very ugly.

THANK YOU! I did Day out With Thomas in 95+ degree hit with a billion crying 3 year olds and trust me…there’s not enough xanax in the world for that.

The most fun I had on that trip was sitting in the hotel pool.

At least you had a pool!!

The best part for me was when it was all over and we were sitting at lunch at the Mt. Washington Tavern. Now that was fun! -CS

Wow. You are a much better woman than me. I wouldn’t even take my own kids to Day Out With Thomas. I think someone should throw you a parade or something. But maybe not until your head has recovered.

I totally want a parade! I want to ride on a float and wave at everyone while they cheer for me. Just remind me not to go drinking the night before. -CS

ouch! definately an error in judgement to suffer from the cocktail flu in combination with a children’s outing. i used to be a nanny (3 girls) and all summer they had swimming/rowing lessons so we spent most of each day at the lake. i got sloppy drunk one sunday night then fell asleep laying in the sun for about 1/2hour while the girls were at lessons. burnt my face all to hell! not fun. bad flu.

I bet you looked wicked hot! -CS

I can’t believe I missed Thomas! I love that sho-

    I mean, totally lame, man.

I could have sworn that was you dressed as a train conducter with your zipper down yelling, “All aboard!” CS

I can’t deal with screaming kids, even on the best of days.

Gag them with duct tape. Works like a charm. -CS
