And The Wise Fashion Sense Continues

20 Jan

Today I’m proud to report that I am not the one that made the terrible fashion choice (granted, I am wearing a fleece that has too short sleeves).  Let me describe my mother’s outfit today.  It’s hot, people, get ready to fan yourselves when you read this-and you’ll probably see something similar gracing the pages of Elle or Vogue next month.  She truly is fashion forward.

Just hours ago she walked into my sister’s house wearing a pea green fleece with a pair of grey sweatpants, black socks, and chocolate brown berkenstocks.  No!  Wait!  I know that it’s a hot outfit on it’s own, but there’s more!  She matched it with her zebra print over-sized bag and her mink jacket.  Wicked hot.  I might have to wear something similar on my next date.  Lord only knows how the single men aren’t knocking down the door to sweep her off of her berkenstock-clad feet.

Reminds me of The Dark Master (AKA: my old hateful woman of a boss). The only reason why I’m sad that I no longer have my old boss? Her daily fashion statements! My favorite is what we dubbed her ‘Firecracker’ outfits (keep in mind she wore this in mid-July in DC): navy cloth “heels”, BROWN panty hose, red (the bad red) flannel floods (hence how I knew her panty hose were brown), and a pink silk Chinese top with embroidered explosions on it. Did I mentioned that she’s a pasty redhead who doesn’t know how to do her eye makeup? Some days her clothes made the day worth it.

Did she not own a mirror?? What the hell?? That’s just so awful it should be illegal! -CS

Damn!! Sounds like she’s been checking out the SugarDaddy dress code site..ha..ha.ha….

That’s where she must have gotten it from. . .Or from flipping through FQ, you know “Frumpy Quarterly”. Not sure. -CS

I thought my mom was fashion forward with her fanny pack, capris, socks with sandals, 80’s tight perm, old lady scarf over head, and transition rose tinted glasses. But your mom beat her out with the zebra purse and mink coat. I know you are proud!

Ooooo, a fanny pack! Now that’s super hot. If only my mother and your mother could combine they’re fashion powers, there’s no end to what they might be able to accomplish! -CS

My mother wears ill-fitting items with large cartoon characters on a regular basis. With matching cartoon character jewelry. I’m not sure, but I think at least the solid colors of your mother’s outfit would be an improvement.

    Still, the horror. I understand.

Not the cartoon characters!! Why do companies make such atrocities?? WHY?? It’s like those awful holiday sweaters or cat t-shirts. AWFUL! -CS

berkenstocks are so sexy and the black socks must accent them nicely. thanks for the fashion tip!

Feel free to also match black stockings with white open toed shoes. -CS

Berkenstocks…I laugh even when hearing the name.

They are the world’s most hideous-and hysterical shoes. -CS

She wasn’t leaving your sister’s house, right???

Honey, she went out in public like that! Granted, it was only from her house to my sister’s, but still. There’s a possiblity that people saw her in that. I’m so ashamed. -CS
